We only use the totally up to date PCC-1 calculations which are calculated by a leading flange management software which can be used on any remote computer with a licensed sign on. Software can e used to calculate all types of standard .e.g. ANSI flanges a type and b type, Clamps, compact flanges, exchanger flanges and any type of custom set up that can be manually imputed to the latest PCC-1 standard
Software will produce tightening values for a specific flange tag which can be easily searched for to ensure the correct tightening values are applied and can be quickly printed off to hand out to the personnel on site, they can then sign off the flange and the sheet then can be scanned into the system for record keeping. We do not recommend using torque sheets nor slide rules to obtain tightening values on site, as these are known to
lead to mistakes on the field.
Bolt load calculations derived from legacy systems, Spreadsheets, torque sheets and slide
rules, with no assurance of their provenance or execution context has led to outdated and
often inaccurate tightening practices. This can cause safety and cost issues in the form of
both hydrocarbon leakage and unnecessary damage to flange components. Our bolt load
software uses proprietary calculation methodology, which is the only one that is directly
traceable to only the best practices, including PCC-1. Our software contains the industries
most extensive libraries of flange, gaskets and fasteners types, materials, and lubricants.
Using our software eliminates second-guessing and get it right first time.
